Loki Casino takes its name from the Norse trickster god - a figure built around disguise, chance and games within games. We picked it because it matches how we built this site for Canadian players: a large, varied library, codes that unlock bonuses in stages, and more than one way to fund an account.
Who Loki is in Norse mythology
In the old Norse sagas, Loki is a shapeshifter who moves between the world of gods and giants, talks his way out of trouble, and wins as often through wit as through strength. He is associated with transformation, risk and reward that is not always where you expect it. That mix of unpredictability and cleverness is the image behind the Loki Casino name, not a claim about any single character or story.
Why we built Loki Casino around that name
A trickster deity is a fitting banner for a casino: both are about odds shifting in your favour at the right moment. We carried the theme into how Loki Casino is structured for Canada - our welcome offer, code LOKIFTD, is split across three deposits rather than handed over in one go, which is closer to the staged, multi-step way Loki's own myths tend to play out. The full structure is on our welcome bonus page, and the individual codes are listed on the bonus code page.
What the name means day to day at Loki Casino
For a player, the mythology is mostly a name on the logo - what matters is what Loki Casino actually gives you access to. We carry 6,000+ titles from 50+ studios, including Evolution, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt and Play'n GO, so the variety the name implies is backed by a real catalogue rather than a handful of flagship slots. You can see the current lineup on our game providers page, and the slot list on our slots hub.
Playing Loki Casino from Canada
Loki Casino is built for Canadian players: Canadian dollars are supported at the cashier, Interac is accepted alongside cards and 10+ cryptocurrencies, and the site runs on desktop, Android and iOS. If the name brought you here out of curiosity rather than a search for bonuses, our app page covers mobile access and our about page has more on how we run Loki Casino.
